Listed below is a very brief outline of the favourite dishes normally served for conferences at Capital House. For conferences of several days, our intention is to provide as much variety as possible. We are very happy to discuss special requirements. Individual dietary needs can be catered for with advanced notice. Please take this list as a general guide only. Our menu will vary according to season and the special requirements of particular group.

Morning and Afternoon Teas, One Item would be served on each occasion

Cheese, sultana, date and savoury scones. Plain scones with jam and cream, various muffins, date and walnut or banana loaf, anzac biscuits, shortbread, various biscuits and cookies, various cakes.

 
Lunch Dishes, Lunch consists of 2 or 3 fresh salads, a variety of fancy bread, one main dish and a desert.

Spinach pie in Filo, Vegetable slice, Bacon and egg pie, Tuna flan, Pasta dishes, Vegetable strudel, Spring rolls in Filo Quiches (in filo and pastry) - mixed vegetable, Salmon, spinach Stir/fried fresh vegetables served with rice, Soups on request.

Salads, Served with both lunch and dinner selections
Lettuce: green tossed - Vinegarette, yoghurt, and mayonnaise dressings, Coleslaw, Potato - hot and cold, Rice - vegetable, chicken, fish, Various vegetable and fruit combinations, Waldorf, Pasta.

Dinner Dishes, Dinner consists of a fresh salad, a main dish, 2 or 3 separate vegetable dishes, fancy bread and a desert.

Lasagne and other pasta combinations (both meat and vegetarian), Cottage pie.
Sweet and sour fish, Fish Pie, Various fish pastas.
Chicken breast - Wrapped in filo with apricot / Crumbed: served with fresh tomato sauce / Mushroom sauce.
Chicken casserole: Mild curry / Mushroom and cream / Creamy tomato sauce.
Casseroles with pastry topping, meat and silverbeet strudels, moussaka.
Roast and Baked vegetables, steamed vegetables, vegetable combinations with herbs and spices or cream sauces.
Seafood dishes: lobsters and other delicacies from the sea.

 
Desserts

We offer a full range of deserts: various puddings, fruit flans and sponges, cheese cake, fresh fruit salads, apple or pear crumble with ginger or spices, strudels, a variety of cakes, self-saucing puddings, muffins.

Capital House has a fine reputation for its cuisine.
All food is cooked in our own kitchen and is freshly prepared.
A wide variety of vegetarian dishes are available for lunch and dinner.
